The following was sent via automated telephone call to Good Hope and Hampden families.
Attention Good Hope Families:
Safety of our students and staff is of paramount priority. To that end, we are calling to make you aware that overnight an anonymous message, vague in nature, was forwarded to Good Hope Middle School indicating the possibility of a threat at Good Hope. Mr. Hosenfeld became aware of the message as buses were picking up students this morning. He took immediate action to notify Hampden Township Police, who ensured an increased presence at the school today and who deployed a detective to investigate. While the investigation is ongoing, we have received no information to substantiate the threat.
Please note that we are sharing this message with Hampden Elementary School families as they share a campus with Good Hope.
We all play a vital role in any school-wide safety effort; it is the duty and responsibility of students, staff, and families to report any potential threats to the proper individuals. We appreciate the concern and help of the individual who has taken this responsibility seriously by forwarding the original message to the appropriate authorities.
