🫶 MORE THAN JUST TAPE: When we say we stick together for a cause… we mean it.
CV Mini-THON turned generosity into gravity last week; every dollar donated added another piece of tape, and Mr. Shaw, CVHS Dean of Students, stepped up as the ultimate volunteer. Through all three lunch periods, he was taped to the wall, and even when the stand was taken away… he stayed put.
Huge thanks to everyone who donated and helped make this fundraiser one to remember! #FTK 💠

📸 NATURE THROUGH THE LENS: Mr. Bollinger’s Photography students at CVHS are stepping into nature through an exciting new partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). Their mission is to capture the beauty of Pennsylvania’s state forests and parks, with standout photos potentially featured on DCNR websites, social media, and more.
DCNR representatives Jeff Woleslagle, Jason Hall, and Ryan Reed recently visited the class to kick off the collaboration and share what’s ahead. With a possible spring field trip to Tuscarora State Park on the horizon, students are already exploring local forests and parks, sharpening their skills, and finding inspiration in the great outdoors. 🌿

⚙ EXPLORING ENGINEERING: In the fall, Mr. Kofmehl, Ms. Ferguson, and Ms. Walton accompanied a group of CVHS students to the Applied Engineering, Safety, and Technology (AEST) Exploration Day at Millersville University. Students explored each of the AEST degree programs firsthand and met with faculty members to gain a deeper understanding. They were also invited to enjoy lunch in the campus dining hall. The event concluded with a student panel where current AEST students shared insights about their majors and experiences.
We sincerely thank the Cumberland Valley Eagle Foundation for funding transportation to and from Millersville University. Our students truly appreciated the opportunity and the chance to learn more about the possibilities within AEST programs.

Staff are elf-obsessed, elf-motivated, and fully committed to being the first one to find Snelfie. They even stopped their search for a selfie with Snelfie. 📸 🤣

🥰 WRAPPED IN KINDNESS: We had a great time celebrating the 11th Annual Shop with a Cop, hosted by Silver Spring Township Police Department. Students started the day with a delicious breakfast from the New Kingstown Fire Co. before heading out to shop for the holidays 🎁
🚓 Students headed to Walmart Mechanicsburg with a law enforcement escort, where they shopped for gifts for themselves and their families alongside local officers who didn’t just help them shop—they shared laughs, conversations, and moments that made the experience unforgettable. After shopping, volunteers helped students wrap gifts, and then everyone enjoyed lunch provided by Chick-fil-A Mechanicsburg.
Thank you to the local police departments, fire companies, businesses, and volunteers who continue to support this event year after year. Your time and commitment help make this experience possible for our students. ❤
