MONDAY MEMORY ❤
💻 APP-SOLUTELY BRILLITANT: This past spring, when EV 7th grader Carter needed a better way to show his math work, a team of caring educators and CVHS Computer Science students came together—not to find an app, but to build one.
This powerful cross-collaboration effort brought to life our Portrait of an Eagle competencies: critical thinking, empathy, and creative problem-solving, developing a custom tool to support inclusive learning.
Innovation with heart. That’s the Eagle way. 🦅🫶

🧗♂️ RISING TO NEW HEIGHTS: This past spring, Aboody, a kindergartener at Sporting Hill Elementary, climbed to new heights — literally! Using an adaptive climbing system provided by Mike Decavalcante and Above Limits Organization, he reached 50 feet during Mr. Rupp's PE class, right alongside his peers.
With a huge smile and tons of heart, Aboody reminded us that with the right support, everybody can climb. 🫶💪

MONDAY MEMORY ❤
🎣 REEL FUN: Fifth-graders at Middlesex Elementary wrapped up the year with one of our favorite traditions—Environmental Education Day! For many, it was their first time fishing, and the joy was unforgettable.
Huge thanks to our amazing staff and volunteers for making it so special! 👏

🎻 A BOW-TIFUL COLLABORATION: Mrs. Hoertz’s Technical CAD class at CVHS teamed up with Sophia, an aspiring cellist from Hampden Elementary, to design and 3D-print a custom assistive device so she can continue doing what she loves—playing the cello.
Students invited Sophia for multiple fittings, making thoughtful tweaks along the way. At the final fitting, captured by abc27 News, she was able to play independently with her new device!
This cross-grade project was a meaningful journey that reflected our Portrait of an Eagle—especially empathy, as students approached the challenge with care, kindness, and teamwork to support Sophia. 🫶

❤ WORK OF HEART: This week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and we’re celebrating the heart of our schools—our incredible CV teachers!
Your passion, patience, and unwavering belief in every student leave a lasting impact that reaches far beyond the classroom. Whether it’s a kind word, a creative lesson, or simply showing up with care each day, you help shape who our students become.
Thank you for being the everyday heroes our Eagles need. We see you. We appreciate you. We’re so grateful for you. 🍎🦅

🧪 A FORMULA TO VICTORY: On Saturday, April 26, our Science Olympiad teams competed at the PA State Tournament at Penn State Altoona—and brought home some amazing results!

EV placed 3rd out of 36 and took home 1st place in FIVE events—a new school record! MV delivered a strong showing as well, finishing 8th overall.

🗺️ MAPPING THEIR WAY: Earlier this year, students Maximus Knickerbocker, Aaron Widjaja, Sricharan Addagatla, and Prisha Kanikaram were named winners of the 2024 Congressional App Challenge for PA’s 10th District—our 8th straight win! 🏆 (Pictured left to right with Rep. Scott Perry at center)
Their award-winning app, Map Eye, helps students and visitors navigate CVHS with real-time indoor directions.📱 This spring, they headed to Washington, D.C. for the national #HouseOfCode event—showcasing their app to Congress, connecting with peers nationwide, touring the Capitol building, and even having a private meeting with Rep. Perry.
We are beyond #CVProud of their innovation and hard work. Way to go, Eagles!🦅

🏐 DODGE, DIP, DUCK: Yesterday’s dodgeball showdown at Hampden Elementary had everyone channeling their inner Patches O’Houlihan—“If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball!” 😜 Spoiler: There were no wrenches involved, but there were some wild throws, epic catches, and dramatic dodges that would make even the Globo-Gym team proud 😎

💡 BRILLIANT MINDS, BOLD FUTURES: Eight Eagle View & Mountain View Middle School students attended the Women in Math, Science, & Tech Conference at Millersville University on April 1! 🚌 DRIVEN TO GREATNESS: Today, we celebrate our incredible bus and van drivers who keep our school days rolling smoothly and safely! From sunrise pick-ups to afternoon drop-offs, they go the extra mile (literally!) with care, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to our students’ safety.
