This voluntary program provides short or long-term assistance to families and students grades K-12. It offers support, advocacy and resources to help students achieve academic, social, and emotional success.
Services provided include (but are not limited to):
- Individual counseling and/or assessment when deemed appropriate.This may be ongoing, for a short period of time, or in response to a crisis.
- Group counseling.
- Parent advocacy/training when related to student needs.
- Coordinating contact between parents and school personnel, as well as agencies when specific consent is given.
- Participating in special education assessment meetings as well as Individual Educational Planning (IEP) meetings.
- Obtaining and coordinating community resources to meet students' needs.
- Providing case management for students and families.
- Advocating for community/school service to meet the needs of students and families.
- Assistance with housing and homelessness
- Truancy intervention
