English Language Arts Grade 7
Students should be prepared to read and discuss various genres of literature in digital and paper format: short stories, poetry, novels, plays, essays. Students should expect to critically and analytically read, write, think, and discuss on a daily basis. Homework includes regular (typically 2-5 times a week) reading and writing assignments and must be completed in order to engage in class discussion and activities.
English Language Arts Grade 8
A continuation of strategies and skills introduced and developed in grade 7. Students will build upon established expectations to read and discuss various genres of literature in digital and paper format: short stories, poetry, novels, plays, essays.
