We are proud to celebrate Jason Haley, a Social Studies teacher at CVHS, who has been named the National American History Teacher of the Year by the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and awarded the Dr. Tom & Betty Lawrence American History Teacher Grant. This national honor recognizes educators who bring the history of the American Revolution to life through innovative and engaging teaching. As the first-place national recipient, Mr. Haley will attend the Colonial Williamsburg Summer Teacher Workshop and the Freedoms Foundation Graduate Workshop at Valley Forge and has been invited to speak at the SAR National Congress.

Mr. Haley’s recognition reflects a progression of honors at the local, state, and national levels, beginning with his selection by the Harris Ferry Chapter and culminating in his national award announced on March 10. He will be formally recognized this May. This outstanding achievement highlights Mr. Haley’s dedication to excellence in education and reflects the high-quality teaching and learning at CVHS.

Congratulations, Mr. Haley, on this outstanding achievement!
