Cumberland Valley High School held a holiday food drive, giving students a chance to make a difference in our community.

Junior Kenna Pratt, a member of the student council, agreed to share some information about this food drive.

According to Kenna, “The food drive is an opportunity for the student body to participate in something that will help the community. It involves the entire student body and their food donations”

The drive took place during Nest, with student council members going around to different classrooms to collect donations from their peers.

The drive took place during Nest, when student council members visited Nest rooms to collect donations from students.

“It involves the entire student body and their food donations,” Pratt said. “It helps our community by doing what we can to lend a helping hand to those who may be struggling food-wise during this holiday season.”.

Emphasizing that everyone had a chance to contribute. The goal was simple: gather as many non-perishable food items as possible to support families in need.

“We were looking for canned goods, boxes of food, and non-perishable food items,” Pratt said.

Even though the collection occurred before Thanksgiving break, the impact will be felt all throughout the holiday season, providing essential support for families in need.

Students were excited to get involved, dropping off several items to help families in need. The food drive shows how Cumberland Valley students can come together and make a real difference, proving that even small contributions add up. It’s a great reminder that giving back and looking out for others in our community is what the holiday season is all about.
