For high school seniors, early action season is both a launchpad and a pressure cooker — the excitement of a new beginning mixed with the pressure of meeting deadlines and the fear of falling short of a dream school.
Students at Cumberland Valley High School have already begun submitting their applications in hopes of a better chance at getting accepted. Senior Aramba Neopaney is already ahead of the curve, and is ready to begin the new chapter of his life. “I think the most exciting part of college is you get to pick what you want to study rather than being given classes,” Neopaney said.
On the other hand, stress builds when making tough decisions. “Narrowing down the schools [is difficult], because there’s a lot of good schools around the country that you could pick through,” Neopaney said.
For Senior Aidan Foley, his experiences are different. “I think the most challenging part of my application has definitely just been the college essay,” Foley said.
Foley understands there is more to the decision than academics. “The thing that excites me the most about the next chapter of my life is new experiences. Going to college, you know, you’re supposed to have fun,” Foley said.
