A person with light-colored hair is smiling and wearing a black blazer over a red top. To the right, bold red and black text reads '2025 Paving the Way to Educational Success Advocate Award.' Below this, in smaller text, it says 'Doris Hagemann' and 'Dir. of Student Services.'

We are proud to announce that Doris Hagemann, Director of Student Services at Cumberland Valley School District, has been selected to receive the 2025 Paving the Way to Educational Success Advocate Award. Her dedication to ensuring educational stability for children and youth experiencing homelessness or foster care has been recognized by her colleagues.

The Paving the Way Conference was sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s programs for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness (ECYEH) and Educational Stability for Children and Youth in Foster Care. It was held in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and the Center for Schools and Communities.

“I am deeply honored to receive this award, but the credit goes to the entire Cumberland Valley School District team and our supportive community,” said Hagemann. “Our collective effort supports the well-being and success of students facing homelessness or housing instability. I also want to recognize organizations like Kick in for Kids, The CV Eagle Foundation, our school PTOs, local businesses, and police departments for their invaluable support.”

Congrats, Ms. Hagemann — We are #CVProud of you!
