Prospective Candidates
Serving as a school board director is a vital way to shape the future of our schools, students, and community. School board directors play a key role in ensuring that every student has access to a high-quality education by making informed decisions on policies, curriculum, budgeting, and district growth.
In alignment with our Portrait of an Eagle, this leadership role requires adaptability, critical thinking, and a commitment to problem-solving as our schools evolve to meet the needs of students and families. It also demands responsibility, empathy, and strong communication to foster collaboration between educators, parents, and the community.
By serving on the school board, you have the opportunity to make a lasting impact, support student success, and help guide the direction of our growing school district. If you’re passionate about education and ready to lead with confidence, consider stepping up to serve!
The school board meets on the first and third Monday of each month. Board directors are appointed to committees by the school board president and typically serve on three or four committees. Candidates may direct questions to current school board directors via the school board webpage.
