Dr. Robyn Euker is a dedicated and systems-oriented professional with a passion for advancing the field of public education. In January of 2024 she was promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Cumberland Valley School District.  In this role, Dr. Euker supports the students and staff of the district’s four secondary buildings.  Before her role as Assistant Superintendent, she was CVSD’s Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, where she supervised and led the K-12 Curriculum Supervisor team, worked to ensure K-12 vertical alignment and continuity of instruction across 12 district schools and all students.

 Prior to joining CVSD in 2021, Dr. Euker served as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Big Spring School District for five and a half years and was a High School Health and Physical Education teacher, Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at Central Dauphin East High School. Dr. Euker began her professional career in higher education at Penn State Hershey with the Center for Nutrition and Activity Promotion (CNAP).

 Dr. Euker holds an EdD in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University, a Master of Public Administration from Villanova University, and a B.S in Kinesiology from Penn State University.

In her free time, Dr. Euker enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and going to her two sons' sporting events.

Dr. Chad Runkle, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education at Cumberland Valley School District

Dr. Runkle has served as an elementary principal in Cumberland Valley since 2008, leading four of the district’s eight elementary schools. Most recently, he has been the proud principal of Winding Creek Elementary since its opening in 2018. Throughout his leadership journey, he has remained dedicated to building strong school cultures, supporting teacher growth, and ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.

A graduate of Shippensburg University, Dr. Runkle began his career as a teacher in the Shippensburg Area School District before joining Cumberland Valley as a fourth- and fifth-grade teacher at Middlesex Elementary. After earning his Master’s Degree and Administrative Certificate, he was appointed principal of Green Ridge Elementary in 2008. He later served as principal at Hampden Elementary and Sporting Hill Elementary before helping to establish Winding Creek.

Dr. Runkle continued his professional growth by earning both his Doctorate and Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility through a joint cohort program between Millersville University and Shippensburg University. These experiences further deepened his commitment to the art and science of education, leadership, and building strong school communities.

Dr. Runkle and his wife, Kelly, are proud residents of the Cumberland Valley community. Their oldest son, Zachary, is a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School; their daughter, Riley, is a current senior at CV; and their youngest son, Carter, attends CV9, the district’s ninth-grade academy. As both an educator and a parent, Dr. Runkle deeply values the partnership between schools, families, and the community.
