School Board Meeting

Dear CV Families,

Cumberland Valley School District’s Board of School Directors will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021. Viewing of, and participation in, the meeting will be available via livestream ONLY. All public comments will be shared with the board live via Zoom or via written electronic submission ONLY. Safety concerns related to the Department of Health’s ongoing requirement for all individuals in Pennsylvania school buildings to wear a mask coupled with the difficulties for Districts to enforce this Order at public meetings are the reasons CVSD is continuing to use this process for meetings at this time. Please read below for information on how to view the meeting and on how to submit public comment.

NOTE: The District is working through a process to return Board meetings to live face-to-face meetings. We anticipate that the November 22, 2021, meeting will be held as a live, face-to-face meeting.  Requirements for public attendance will be established and published prior to that meeting.

Individuals who do not have access to view the livestream from a personal device may view a broadcast of the meeting at Mountain View Middle School. Masks are required for any individual planning to view the meeting at Mountain View Middle School.

Submitting public comments:

All electronic public comments must be submitted no later than Noon on the date of the meeting. Individuals who wish to register to provide live public comment via Zoom must also register no later than Noon on the date of the meeting.

Individuals who have registered but are unable to access Zoom using their personal device can be assisted in sharing their public comment by CVSD staff at Mountain View Middle School at the time of the meeting. Additionally, of note, the first public comment period is for comments related to current agenda items only. The second public comment period is for comments related to non-agenda items only.

NOTE: Individuals who choose to go to Mountain View to either view a broadcast of the meeting or who have registered but require assistance providing public comment via Zoom will be required to follow all health and safety rules, including wearing a mask while inside CV buildings.
