Back To School Night

Tomorrow is Back to School Night (BTSN) and our staff is looking forward to meeting you!  Kindergarten families do not need to attend as they had Kindergarten Orientation last week.

We will follow this schedule tomorrow evening:

• 6:00 – 6:40  Meet in the Gym for teacher introductions and to view our yearly staff video
• 6:40 – 6:45  Transition to classrooms
• 6:45 – 7:20  Teacher Presentation in Classrooms (Session 1)
• 7:20 – 7:25  Transtion to second classroom (for parents with more than one child at Sporting Hill)
• 7:25 – 8:00  Teacher Presentations (Session 2)

• Please remember that Back to School Night is meant to introduce parents to the new grade level, have a chance to hear about student expectations, and learn ways to support your students’ transitions. Having individual student conversations will not be possible due to the format.  Feel free to contact your child’s teacher for any of those conversations. We also respectfully remind you that this is an evening focused on adult information and that it is our request that children do not attend. We are very excited to see all of you tomorrow evening!

PTO Meeting

Band and Strings

Attention Parents/Guardians of incoming 4th-grade strings and 5th-grade band students: The Cumberland Valley School District Music Department will host a very important meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, to learn more about participation in the strings and band programs. The meeting is in the Cumberland Valley High School Performing Arts Center (PAC) and begins at 6 p.m. for Strings parents and 7 p.m. for Band parents. There will be crucial information given at this meeting. There will also be musical instrument dealers set up following the meeting to rent or sell an instrument to all of those who have not yet obtained one.  If you have any questions in advance of the meeting, feel free to contact Sarah Snyder at [email protected] for strings and Neil Ostrander at [email protected] for band.
