New Student Orientation - Aug 13

Our annual New Student Orientation is scheduled for next Tuesday, August 13th. This event is designed to help our rising 6th graders and their families learn more about how middle school works, and reduce anxiety associated with the transition to middle school. It is also designed to welcome 7th and 8th grade students and families who are NEW to Cumberland Valley. 

PLEASE NOTE:  While Mountain View is a new building for everyone, this orientation is not for our returning 7th and 8th grade students. Hopefully returning students had an opportunity to tour the building during one of the 8 sessions we had this summer. If not, all students will have ample time during the first few days of school to get acquainted with the new facility, including classroom locations, locker usage, etc.  

To help ease the crowds, we are running two sessions of the orientation.  The first one starts at 2:30pm and the second one starts at 6:00pm.  We are asking that people attend the session that corresponds to their last name. If you have a conflict with this, please try to trade sessions with a neighbor, friend, etc.  If you are unable to do this, just attend the session that works best for you. 

2:30-5:00 - Last Names A-L 6:00-8:30pm - Last Names M-Z
