(5/8/19) - Non-school related incident

Dear Cumberland Valley families:
 
We are writing to make you aware of a non-school related incident that occurred on campus today.
 
Officers from Silver Spring Township Police Department spotted two individuals walking through our educational campus around lunchtime. To ensure safety, officers stopped the individuals in a parking lot and questioned them as to their purpose for being on campus and in the area of our facilities. Please remain assured that the individuals never posed a threat to our school community and that, while one individual was taken into custody on pre-existing arrest warrants, the conversation remained peaceful. 
 
We sincerely appreciate the continued partnership and efforts of our local law enforcement agencies to keep the safety of our students, staff, and visitors as paramount priority.
