MEDICATIONS for Field Trips / Camp / Field Day
It will soon be time for special activities including trips away from school. School policies remain in place during these activities. All prescription drugs require a Dr’s order to be given at school, at camp, on field day, or on a field trip. If you have not submitted a Dr’s order for a prescription medication to be given @ school it cannot be given on field day, at camp, or on a field trip.
EXERCISED INDUCED ASTHMA on Field Day May 15th
If your student has exercise induced asthma, please have them use their inhaler in the morning at home. Although this is not the recommended time to dose, it has proven effective and prevents students from missing out on directions and activities. 1 in 10 children come to school with asthma. Even if only 5 students come to the health suite to use their inhaler, if it takes 4 minutes per student, the last student misses out on the first 20 minutes of field day events.
CV Operation Summer:
Hello CV! We are 5th graders working on a project called CV Operation Summer. The purpose of Operation Summer is to provide summer care packages for the underprivileged living in our schools. 20% of CV students live with this hardship; that’s 1 in 5 students! Our goal for CV Operation Summer is for all children, no matter how needy, to have an enjoyable summer. We need your HELP. Please consider participating in one or all of the FUNdraisers we have planned. We will see you there and don’t forget your flyers! Attention parents/guardians of Shaull Elementary Students, just a reminder that our spring chorus concert will be held on Thursday, May 16th at 7 pm. Students should dress nicely OR like their favorite rock and roll star. Report time will be 6:45 pm in the cafeteria.
Shaull May Fair:
Only five school days until the ALOHA SUMMER May Fair, May 10, 4:30-8:00. A list of items for the Basket Raffle will be released on the PTO Facebook page Sunday evening. There's almost too many to list.
Volunteers are still needed for the May Fair. Sign up today to be eligible for the Volunteer Basket- a Great Wolf Mini Vacay with many Great Wolf Extras. The more time slots you volunteer for the more tickets you will receive.
Watch for the time to sign up sheet for the Sweet Shop and the Sweet Walk (think Cake Walk). The more we have the more fun for the kids!
Fifth grade parents- We are looking for fifth grade volunteers to be in the dunk tank. If your fifth grader is interested, please contact us at [email protected]. Please no bathing suits. Also, please be sure to have a towel and a change of clothes for your child. Dunk tank will be first come first serve. We will not be able to use more than 14 volunteers. Each volunteer will have 15 minutes in the tank. If there are less volunteers, each child will have more time.
