Dear Middlesex Elementary School families:
 
Safety and security of our students and staff is of paramount priority. To that end, we are writing to make you aware that at approximately 3:10 p.m. today, an individual was spotted on the walking trail at Middlesex Elementary School by a class that was outside for an afternoon activity. It is important to note that the individual did not approach the students and there was no confrontation. However, out of an abundance of caution and with safety in mind, building administration contacted Middlesex Township Police.
 
Police have indicated that they did not find anything out of the ordinary. They remained on site through bus dismissal to ensure a safe presence. We remind the community that the walking trail is available for public use when school is not in session.
