Morning Drop-Off Procedure and Parking Notes

Drop-off in the morning begins promptly at 8:30am.  If arriving at school any earlier than 8:30am, you will need to park your car in the parking lot and walk your child into the lobby.  A PARENT MUST STAY WITH A CHILD IN THE LOBBY UNTIL 8:30am WHEN DROP-OFF BEGINS.  THERE WILL BE NO ADULTS TO WATCH YOUR CHILD.

The parent drop-off line is in FRONT OF THE SCHOOL.  The drop-off line will remain closed until 8:30am.  At 8:30am the lane will open and parents may drop-off.  Children will get out of the vehicle on the passenger side only; parents must stay in the vehicle.  After your child gets out and closes the door, you will pull away so the person behind you can move up.  Your child should get out of the vehicle in front of the school.  The drop-off lane will close at 8:54am.  After this time parents will need to park in the parking lot and walk their child into the building to sign them in tardy.

When a parking lot attendant is not working parents are still required to follow these procedures.

As an additional note, parents should NOT be parking in front of the building as a rule.  You should always park in the parking lot and walk into the school.  The front of the school is for student buses and vans only.  Accessible parking spots should be used only by those with a parking placard.

Thank you for your understanding of the procedures to ensure the safety of our students.

From Mr. C

Believe it or not, Field Day is just two months away! Planning has already begun and I’m looking for parent volunteers to help make this day extra special for the students. Field Day is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15th (Rain Date: May 22nd) from 9:30am-3:00pm. Our Field Day this year is themed “Shaull Ninja Warrior”. Each classroom will rotate around to various themed stations/activities throughout the day*.

If you’re interested in helping out with our field day activities, please sign-up here: https://goo.gl/forms/UzJvbKPyyTTQx84f2 . I will email all parent volunteers at least 2 weeks prior to field day so you know ahead of time what you’ll be doing for the day. Thank you in advance for volunteering your time. I greatly appreciate it! If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected]

Sincerely,

Mr. Chance Condran
Physical Education Teacher

*FYI: AM Kindergarten will only participate in the morning part of field day and PM Kindergarten will only participate in the afternoon part of field day. The arrival and departure time for Kindergarten is normal just like any other day.

From Mrs. Fox

This year’s Art Show (Family Arts Night) is Thursday, April 4
th from 6-8 pm.  This info has been in the past several e-news emails, but I will also be giving you hard copies to send home with the kids when you next come to art class.  A new addition to the evening this year is a make-it-and-take-it area in the cafeteria where the kids can work with their families to make 2 different art projects that they can take home that night.  I am still in need of volunteers for this area!  I am hoping for several more parent volunteers as well, but if you’d like to donate an hour of your time on the 4th, that would be awesome!  The URL for the sign up is below.

3rd-5th grade teachers: can you please let me know which wall spaces are available for me to hang things on upstairs?  I don’t want to take anyone’s space if you are planning to display things from your classroom!  THANK YOU!
