Fall Fun!

Green Ridge families,
We have a couple fun events coming to Green Ridge within the next few weeks...check them out below!!
FALL FAIR-
Who is ready for some family fun, food, games and an evening at Green Ridge?! We hope you are!! Our annual Fall Fair is next Friday, October 19 from 4:30-8pm. During the Fall Fair in the cafeteria, we will be holding a raffle and silent auction. The PTO needs your help with donations to create individual grade level baskets. Listed below are the grade levels and the basket theme we are looking to create…
Kindergarten- Literacy basket (ex. books, puppets, audio CDs, etc.)
First grade- Blind bag toy basket (ex. Pokemon, Hatichmals, My Little Pony, etc.)
Second grade- Arts & Crafts basket (ex. colored pencils, markers, playdough, paper, glue, beads, etc.)
Third grade- Family night basket (ex. board games, popcorn, candy, playing cards, cozy blanket, Redbox gift cards, etc.)
Fourth grade- Science & explorations basket (ex. science experiment kits, “make your own” kits, slime kits, books and movies about science, etc.)
Fifth grade- Outdoor & sports basket (ex. yard games, flashlights, s’mores supplies, marshmallow sticks, glow sticks, basketball, football, etc.)
Our Fall Fair could not be as successful if we didn’t have amazing families at Green Ridge willing to volunteer their time at the games, arts & crafts stations, bake sale, along with set up and clean up. Please consider volunteering yourself and/or your family during the Fall Fair. It is a great way to spend time together and get to know other families at Green Ridge! Calling all bakers!! Do you and your family enjoy creating tasty treats? We are looking for yummy donations to put in our bake sale. If you love to bake please choose an item(s) below and drop/send your treats to school on Thursday, October 18. (Please do not send them before this, storage and freshness will become an issue!) Remember donated goodies should be NUT FREE. We are asking that you help us by individually wrapping your treats. This will help the ease of the bake sale. (???I’m trying to say make it easier to pick & go plus cross-contamination and keep kids from touching everything!)

FALL CLASSROOM PARTIES-
Room parents are hard at work planning fun games and crafts for all classrooms to enjoy during their Fall Parties. You may want to be a party helper (each classroom may have a total of five volunteers) or sign up for a snack (please note allergies are listed in the box with the teachers name), there are plenty of opportunities to help!! Please see the time to sign up sheet below for available items.

*If you are signed up for a classroom party helper please plan to arrive 15 minutes early outside the entrance to the gymnasium.
*If you signed up to donate a snack listed on the time to sign up sheet, please pay close attention to the requested snacks. If you have trouble locating a specific snack listed do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s room parent. All items should be NUT FREE, individually package, and smaller portion sized as per the new classroom treat policy distributed by the district.
Parties are scheduled for October 26 and times are as follows…
AM Kindergarten & Extended Day begin at 10 a.m.
PM Kindergarten & 1st – 5th Grades begin at 2:15 p.m
