Fire Prevention Poster Contest – Monroe will be celebrating Fire Prevention Week October 8 – 12. We are inviting all students to participate in our Fire Prevention Poster Contest. Posters can be NO larger than a typical poster board and must include the theme for this year, “Stop, Drop and Roll!” Please put student’s name, grade level and home room number on the back of the poster. Posters are due on Tuesday, October 9. No late entries will be judged. Winners will be announced on Thursday, October 11 during our fire prevention assembly! Be creative!

November 2 - Fall Picture Retake Day - The photographer will be here from 9:00 - 9:45 am ONLY. Any PM Kindergarten student who needs a retake will need to be brought to school during this time.
PTO News:
October Club Tuesday – A reminder for those who registered for our first Club Tuesday of the year – it begins on Tuesday, October 9th!

If you are planning to attend the Walk AND have previously had your driver’s license scanned in our office – please pre-register by emailing Gail Halterman at [email protected] or Jen Moyer at [email protected].
Cash Policy – The PTO will ONLY accept personal checks or money orders made payable to Monroe Elementary PTO. If you send cash, it will be returned to you. The only exception is cash donations for the Walk for Monroe. [email protected]
Touch of the Valley – Auction and Tasting Event, November 3, 2018, Cumberland Valley High School at 6:30 pm - Ticket order forms and payment are due by Friday, October 12. Tickets are $30 (money order or check payable to Monroe Elementary PTO only). This is a fun evening with proceeds supporting Summer Enrichment Camps, Reading/Math Booster programs, The Buddy Program, grants and scholarships and much more!
