Happy Summer Hampden Families!

KINDERGARTEN & NEW FAMILIES OPEN HOUSE -- AUGUST 23
Our Open House for Kindergarten students and families new to Hampden is scheduled for Thursday August 23 at the following times:
5:00 PM:  AM & Extended Day Kindergarten Open House
6:15 PM:  PM Kindergarten Open House
7:30 PM:  New Family Open House

HAMPDEN BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT -- AUGUST 30
Hampden Elementary's Back to School Night will be held on Thursday, August 30 at the following times:
6:00 PM -- Grades 1 & 2
7:00 PM -- Grades 3, 4 & 5
Please note that our Back to School Night is for PARENTS ONLY.  Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation!

HAMPDEN ELEMENTARY WELCOMES ELAINE DAILY, OUR NEW SCHOOL NURSE! 
Mrs. Elaine Daily is delighted to be joining Hampden Elementary as our new Certified School Nurse.  She grew up near Sedona, Arizona, and holds  Bachelor’s degree in History from Bryn Mawr College and a BSN from York College.  She received her School Nurse Certification from Millersville University in 2016. Mrs. Daily's background most recently includes Building Nurse at Shepherdstown Elementary in Mechanicsburg, and substitute nurse work for Cumberland Valley Schools in a variety of settings. She and her husband Chris have three children, including a high-schooler still at home. Mrs. Daily greatly looks forward to working with the students, staff and families at Hampden!

CLARIFICATION ABOUT SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Once again, the Cumberland Valley School District will be providing all school supplies for students.  Parents should be sure that their students have a backpack and if desired, a lunchbox for school.  As always, boxes of tissues and hand-sanitizers for the classrooms are always welcome and greatly appreciated.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
The first school day for all Cumberland Valley schools for the 2018-2019 academic year is Monday, August 27. To view the academic calendar that is posted on the CV website, click here.
