News from the Nest:
ART SHOW
On
Wednesday, May 9th from 6:00-8:00 pm will be having our Silver Spring Art Show.
Please stop by to enjoy all the beautiful artworks our 1st-5th grade students
have created this year! Displays will be in the hallways along with drawing
activities in the school lobby. Hope to see you there!
Reminder:
Last Day for
Students:
Parents are reminded that per the school calendar, May 30 will be the last
student day for elementary students and it will be a full day of school.
Opportunity to Give:
The 5th grade students at Hampden Elementary have scheduled the following
events as a way to create summer care packages for our CV students in need:
May 14th - Sweet Frog
May 15th - Glow Night at Sky Zone
May 21st – Chipotle
Please consider
attending one or all of these events as a way to help students in our
community.

May 9th - PTO Meeting in the IMC @ 4-5 PM
May 11th – 5th Grade Biztown Trip
May 18th – Mother/Son Social @ 6-8 PM
May 22nd – Spring Concert in the MPR @ 7:00 PM (Students
performing should arrive @ 6:45)
May 23rd – FIELD DAY
May 25th – 12:00 DISMISSAL
May 30th – Last Day for Students; 5th Grade
