Message from Mrs. Schade:
Attention all 4th and 5th grade parents: Our Spring Chorus Concert, "Gotta Be Jazz" will be held on Wednesday, May 16 at 7 pm in the Shaull Gymnasium. Students should report to the cafeteria at 6:45 pm.

In addition to our choral concert, 5th grade band and strings students will be performing in our district-wide instrumental concert on May 30th at 7:00 pm in the High School Performing Arts Center. Band and strings students will have Wednesday morning rehearsals at 8 am in preparation for this event. The dates are as follows: May 9, 16, and 23 at Good Hope and May 23 at the High School. A letter and permission slip explaining these rehearsals was sent home with your child and emailed to you.

Attention Parents and Guardians of 5th Graders:
It is hard to believe but the end of the school year is almost here and it is time to start preparing your fifth grade student for the move to the middle school. Good Hope Middle School will host a parent information night on Wednesday, April 25 at 7pm in the auditorium to provide you with an opportunity to learn about our middle school and ask questions to better prepare your elementary student for the transition to the secondary level.
During this event, parents will learn about the middle school schedule, grading information, general policies and procedures, tips for transition, and other important information about middle school life. There will also be an opportunity for parents to ask questions.  The evening concludes with a self-guided tour of the building, with the assistance of some of our student leaders. While we certainly wouldn't turn away any students, this presentation is intended primarily for parents/guardians. Students will have several other opportunities to visit the middle school and get lots of information about "moving to the middle." We hope to see you there. We will also post information on the Good Hope website for families who are unable to attend.

SAVE THE DATE:  New Student Orientation for all 6th Graders - Tuesday, August 21st. Students will be assigned to an afternoon session or an evening session, to accommodate the crowd. Snacks, prizes, games, team-building, meet the teachers, locker information, walk the schedule, building tours, etc.!!! More information to come...
