Food Service Department Reminder

The following is a message from Cumberland Valley School
District’s Food Service Department:
Dear CV parents and guardians:
The Cumberland Valley School District
Food Service Department will be changing its Point of Sale (POS) system effective
April 2, 2018, to better streamline food service operations. The new system
becomes a one-stop-shop by allowing parents to access student account balances,
apply payments, and complete applications for free and reduced meals all in one
location. School menus will also be added to this same system in the coming
months. This information will be accessible via a website and a smart-phone
based app.
Beginning April 2, 2018, you will be
able to access your student’s food service account information by visiting http://www.schoolcafe.com/. You will need to create an account during your first
visit to this new site. Please click here to see the instructions for creating
a new account.
Please note that the new fee for using
the online service to deposit money into your account is $2.25 per transaction.
This fee, which represents a savings from the current system for parents/guardians,
is charged by Primeroedge for the use of their services. Your student’s lunch
account will also receive a 3% bonus for any online deposit between $50 and
$100. Example: You deposit $100 into your child’s account. You pay $100 + $2.25
transaction fee. Your child’s account is credited $103 ($100 + $3 bonus).
While we do not anticipate any major
issues related to this transition, you are welcome to contact the Food Service
office at 717-506-3318 should you have any questions or concerns.
Thank You,
Shawn Harlacher
Food Service Director
