It's a Fantastic Week at Hampden!

HAMPDEN SCIENCE FAIR DEADLINE EXTENDED
The registration date to sign up for the science fair has now been extended until April 13. The fair will be held on Thursday, May 3 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Students in grades 2 through 5 are welcome to participate in this event. To register your student, click on: Hampden Science Fair.  If your child is pairing up with another student BOTH students must register. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mr. Silfee  at [email protected], Mrs. Harlan at [email protected], or Mrs. McCarthy at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful projects and experiments created by our young Hampden scientists!

HAMPDEN PRE-K NIGHT
Families of  incoming 2018-2019 Hampden kindergarten students are invited to attend our Pre-K Night on Thursday, April 19, 6:15 - 7:15 PM, featuring activities to help prepare your child for kindergarten.  Please note that this night is for parents/guardians and the kindergarten child and we greatly appreciate if you arrange for childcare for other siblings.  For those interested in attending, please RSVP by April 13 to Mrs. Hart at [email protected]. 

PSSA TESTING BEGINS TOMORROW
Students in 3rd to 5th grade will be taking the PSSA Assessment beginning tomorrow.  Please be sure that your student(s) gets a good night's rest and has a good breakfast.  PSSAs will be adiminstered as follows: ELA on April 10th, 11th, and 12th, MATH on April 17th and 18th, and SCIENCE on April 24th and 25th (4th grade only).  No Educational Trip requests will be approved during these testing windows.

REMINDER FROM OUR FOOD SERVICES DEPARTMENT
The Cumberland Valley School District Food Service Department is no longer using My School Bucks as our point-of-sale system.  Parents/guardians can access your student’s food service account information by visiting: http://www.schoolcafe.com/. You will need to create an account during your first visit to this new site.  For instructions on creating a new account, click here.

TAKE YOUR CHILD TO WORK DAY
Take Your Child to Work Day is Thursday, April 26, 2018. Families must complete an Educational Trip Form to excuse the day -- this assumes the student has the educational trip days available. Students in 4th grade must also complete their Science PSSA testing prior to this day.
