Welcome Back to Another SUPER Week at Hampden!

HELP TEAM HAMPDEN WIN A FREE AUTHOR VISIT!
Do you know the story "The Mitten" or "The Hat" or maybe "Town Mouse, Country Mouse?"  They are all written by amazing author Jane Brett who is hosting a contest for a Free Author Visit for next school year.  To help, simply click here and enter our school information.  One entry per person is allowed, so be sure to ask your family and friends to help Team Hampden win!

SPRING PICTURES
Lifetouch will be at Hampden Elementary on Wednesday, March 15 and Thursday, March 16 to take spring school pictures.  March 15 Schedule: 1st Grade, 3rd Grade, and Mrs. Britcher (K).  March 16 Schedule: 2nd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, Mrs. S. Hart (K) and Mrs. Crider (K).

HERSHEY PARK DISCOUNT TICKETS
Hampden Elementary has been given the opportunity to buy Hersheypark tickets at a discounted priced through Hersheypark's Group Order Plan for Schools.  Flyers and order forms were sent home with all students last week.  All orders must be received in the Hampden office by Friday, March 16 (NO EXCEPTIONS). HAMPDEN SCIENCE FAIR
It's time for the Hampden Science Fair. The fair will be held on Thursday, May 3 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Students in grades 2 through 5 are welcome to participate in this event. To register your student, click on: Hampden Science Fair.

Once your child is registered, he/she will receive an informational packet from their teacher with specific instructions. Please be sure to sign up before Friday, April 6. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful projects and experiments created by our young Hampden scientists!

2018-19 HAMPDEN ELEMENTARY KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION 
Online registration for 2018-19 Kindergarten is now open.  Registration forms are available at: Central Registration. To be eligible for Kindergarten, students need to turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018. Hampden Elementary Kindergarten Registration will be March 20th and 21st. If you have any questions, please contact the Hampden Elementary Office at (717) 737-4513 or Central Registration at (717) 506-3399.

PSSA TESTING 
Students in 3rd to 5th grade will be taking the PSSA Assessment. The district dates for this assessment are as follows: ELA on April 10th, 11th, and 12th, MATH April 17th and 18th, and SCIENCE on April 24th and 25th (4th grade only).  No Educational Trip requests will be approved during these testing windows.
