WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER SUPER WEEK AT HAMPDEN!

HOLIDAY SPIRIT WEEK
This week is a spirit week - join our staff for festive dress as follows:
Monday - Red & White Day (dress like a candy cane)
Tuesday - Team Hampden Day (wear your green Hampden t-shirt)
Wednesday - Holiday Accessory Day (wear holiday hats, necklaces, socks, headbands, etc)
Thursday - Winter Wonderland (wear white to celebrate the 1st day of winter)
Friday - Holiday Dress (wear your favorite holiday clothes)

HOLIDAY PARTIES
Holiday parties are scheduled as follows:
December 21 - AM Kindergarten - 10:15 am
December 21 - PM Kindergarten - 2:15 pm
December 22 - Grades 1-5 - 10:30 am

DECEMBER 22 DISMISSAL
Dismissal on December 22 is at NOON for all students.  Please note that there is no AM Kindergarten.  PM Kindergarten will come in the morning and stay until noon with the rest of the school.  No lunches will be served.

WINTER BOOK SWAP
Thank you so much for those of you that donated books to the 3rd - 5th grade book swap. We collected BOXES of books that students are eagerly waiting to choose from this week. They will be able to "buy" a book with their book bucks that they earned by either donating books or simply showing excellent Dragon's Pride.  Mrs. Wiggins is excited that they will have "new to them" books to read over the time at home - Happy Reading!

CONGRATULATIONS!
Our very own Abhinav Muvva, a third grade student in Mrs. Emerick's class, is the winner of the 3rd/4th Grade Poster category from the Paralyzed Veterans of America’s Keystone Chapter.  The theme of the contest for the 2017-18 school year was “The Love of Country – Veterans’ Pride.”  Congratulations to Abhinav and his family!
