Welcome Back to another SUPER week at Hampden!

Red Ribbon Week
This week is Red Ribbon Week - an alcohol, tobacco, drug and violence campaign observed annually in October in the United States.  To help make students aware of these issues, we are organizing a special theme week. The schedule for the rest of the week is ...

Tuesday - "Too Bright for Drugs" - Wear neon and sunglasses
Wednesday - "Don't Get Mixed Up in Drugs" - Wacky Wednesday
Thursday - "Team Up Against Drugs" - Wear favorite team shirt or Hampden TEAM t-shirt
Friday - "We Aren't FALLING for Drugs" - Wear fall colors for the Fall Festivals

Art from the Heart
As advertised in last week's E-News, we have decided to sell prints of the our original Hampden artwork to the community. To help the thousands of hurricane victims in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico, proceeds from the sale of these prints will be donated on behalf of the Hampden Elementary School community to the American Red Cross. All prints will be in full color and on 9 mm poster paper.

Order forms were sent home next week or you can download one online at http://ha.cvschools.org/common/pages/UserFile.aspx?fileId=4717258.  Orders and payments are due November 10.  Thank you in advance for your support!

Hampden Mini Mini-THON
Our annual Hampden Mini Mini-THON is coming next week on Friday, November 3.  Donation forms were sent home last week or can be downloaded by clicking here.  Thank you for your support!

Veterans Day Assembly
We are excited to announce that we will be having an all-school assembly to celebrate Veterans Day on Friday, November 10, 2017.  There is a two-fold purpose in having this assembly.  First of all, we want the children and staff of our school to have an opportunity to learn more about Veterans Day.  Second, and more importantly, we want to impress upon our students the importance of showing gratitude and honoring our veterans on this special day and every day.

We know that there are many families in our school who have someone who either has served, or is currently serving in our military. If you have immediate family (i.e. limited to you as parents or grandparents who have served or are serving now) we invite one veteran representative from your family and one guest (due to limited space) to attend our program on the 10th at 10:00 am.

If you are planning on attending, please fill out the form below by November 1 by clicking here.

Coming soon ...
