Hello Middlesex Families,

A special thank you to all of the families that came out to our Fall Family Festival on Friday, October 13th. We had a great turn out with lots of fun to be had. Students enjoyed painting rocks, voting for the best classroom pumpkin, making scarecrows, face painting, petting and learning about animals, throwing hula hoops around pumpkins, making their own flavored popcorn, picking a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and painting it, dancing, eating yummy food and desserts, and so much more!  A BIG thank you goes out to the PTO board members, volunteers, and staff members that made this event possible. We are so grateful for all of their support and dedication to Middlesex. Another thank you goes out to families for donating baked goods and over 200 cans to be given to New Hope Ministries. This week the New Kingston Fire  Company will be at Middlesex on October 17th for Fire Prevention Month. Students in K-5 will be rotating through three stations outside: (1) ambulance/fire truck, (2) hose/burning house, and (3) the smoke house.  Congratulations to Ela Slentz, Barlin Roush, Bella Bouder, Isaiah Jumper, Emily Wilcox, and Madison Barrick for being selected by the fire company as the top winners of the coloring contest! Each of these students will have the opportunity to ride in a real fire truck as they come to school on Tuesday.
