Box Tops for Education

Our first official Box Tops collection for the school year is underway and there has already been a very generous response.  The due date for this collection is Friday, September 8th.  Two participating students from each grade will be randomly selected to win a $5 gift card to Sweet Frog!  As a reminder, collection sheets were sent home in your Bulldog Folders on the first day of school, and more can be printed from the PTO website here.

 Amazon Smile

Did you know?  The PTO can earn money when you do your regular shopping on Amazon?  Please visit www.smile.amazon.com and select Sporting Hill PTO as your charity.  Amazon Smile gives you access to everything you already love about Amazon (including Prime!) but when you "start with smile" Amazon will donate 0.5% of your purchase price to Sporting Hill PTO.

Giant A+

Another easy way to support our school is to participate in Giant A+ School Rewards.  You shop, we earn points.  Points are then used to calculate a cash total and Giant deposits that money automatically into our bank account.  It doesn't get any easier than that!  Registration for this will begin on Monday, September 11th. Look for more information to come home with your students next week!

Meeting Information

At our PTO Meeting on August 17th, we voted to pass the Budget for the new school year and discussed a number of other topics.  This year's budget can be found on our website here.

Upcoming PTO Dates

The PTO has a lot of fun activities and events coming up throughout the school year.  Volunteer opportunities will be be posted online at www.timetosignup.com/sphpto.  Please consider signing up to volunteer with us!  Our upcoming dates for September are:

Tuesday 9/19 - PTO Meeting at 7 pm in the IMC
Friday 9/22 - Sweet Start - 7:30am at the Pavilion.  Families are invited to come have breakfast with their students.  PTO will be providing a variety of food and drinks including pastries, fruit, coffee, tea and juice.  Come join us and make a memory!
Friday 9/22 - Race for Education packets will be coming home with your students.
