Cumberland Valley High School will host its second annual Veterans Appreciation Ceremony in the Performing Arts Center beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2017. The student led, community supported event will honor veterans and active duty; and will feature music and chorale, essay and history selections. Local officials and representatives are scheduled to attend. Immediately following the ceremony, veterans and active duty are invited to a reception in their honor in the school cafeteria.

Veterans and all active duty are invited to attend and encouraged to come in uniform.

A Patriot’s Club has been formed at the high school for students who are interested in helping plan and execute the event. Mr. Peter Mashinski is the club advisor. High School students interested in being part of this event are encouraged to sign up for the club with Mr. Mashinski, Room 256. The club will meet every other Wednesday until the event in November. The club is a great way to earn service hours, while honoring our nations’ veterans and active duty service members.

A Wall of Honor is being planned and will feature CVHS student’s family members who served in the military. Details about photo submissions for this wall will be forthcoming.
