
Six highly-talented Cumberland Valley High School students have earned the distinct honor of being named a 2019 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced that approximately 16,000 semifinalists from across the country were selected from a pool of 1.6 million students in more than 22,000 high schools, including six students from Cumberland Valley High School.
The semifinalists represent less than 1 percent of all U.S. high school seniors, according to NMSC.
These academically-talented seniors will have an opportunity to continue in the competition for one of approximately 7,500 highly-competitive National Merit Scholarships worth approximately $31 million.

National Merit Scholarship winners will be announced nationwide beginning in April.
