Dear Cumberland Valley Parents/Guardians:

Beginning this winter, we will offer text messaging as one of our methods of notification during inclement weather and emergencies. To receive text messages from CV, you must log into your CV SIS Parent Portal account and ensure the following:

1. You have at least one phone type listed as “Cell" (cell phone, home cell, or work cell).
2. You have the attendance box checked next to the above-mentioned cell number.

Upon completion of the above steps, you will receive an auto-generated text message from SchoolMessenger (CV’s automated telephone system) within approximately 24 hours asking you to reply “Y” to confirm the opt-in process.

Please note: Parents/guardians who previously completed the CV SIS update and selected text messaging may have received the opt-in text from SchoolMessenger on the morning of Oct. 29, 2018. SchoolMessenger sent the text upon completion of the District setting up its text alert system for the first time.

Thank you.
