Good evening, CV families.
Due to a Winter Storm Warning, which runs from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow, all Cumberland Valley School District schools and campuses will be CLOSED on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Saturday activities will also be canceled/postponed (see below for specific info about SATs and the Mountain View musical). Please look for direct communication from coaches, advisors, and/or event organizers regarding any specific directions and/or information about Saturday’s evening activities.
TWO IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE:
- The Mountain View Middle School Musical, scheduled for 7 p.m. on March 12, will proceed as scheduled. Should that change, we will email CV families directly and will post an update on Mountain View’s website.
- SATs will be rescheduled to March 26, 2022. Registrants will receive notification through their College Board account.
As always, please stay safe.
Masks are no longer required in CVSD buildings at any time or on CVSD transportation. This is in keeping with the CVSD Health and Safety plan and with guidance from the CDC. Cumberland County remained in Low community status according to the CDC.

Our next update will now be provided on Friday, March 18, 2022.
Reminders:
- The district counts cases as those that cause an exposure in a CVSD school or on CVSD transportation. To be considered an exposure a student or staff member must test positive for COVID-19 within 48 hours of being in a CVSD school or on CVSD transportation OR become symptomatic within 48 hours of being in a CVSD school or on CVSD transportation and subsequently test positive.
- Our COVID dashboard is available by clicking here.
- The case threshold for each building was approved by the Board of School Directors during the January 3, 2022, meeting.
With sincere appreciation,
