Physicals and other forms due PRIOR to tryouts
All Cumberland Valley athletic teams are using the software program called RANK ONE.  On RANK ONE there are a series of forms you must fill out, including the mandatory physical.  CV athletics will no longer be accepting hard copies of these forms.  All of the information regarding submitting paperwork is on the website here… https://www.cvschools.org/athletics/athletic_training/physical_form_information
Please use this as a reference,  or simply call or email the CV athletic trainers.

Every student wishing to participate in tryouts must also complete necessary paperwork on Skyward.

About the golf tryouts
Everyone interested in participating on the CV Golf Team must tryout.  The tryout is 2 days.  Day one is 9 holes.  Cuts may be made after day 1.  Day 2 is 18 hole play. Please come to Rich Valley on time with your own set of clubs, golf balls, water, and proper golf attire. Range balls will be provided for each participant to warm up prior to their round.  Results will be emailed to all participants as to the results of the tryout.

* Each participant will be playing in a foursome or a threesome
* All rules of golf will be used in tryouts.  If you have questions during your tryout round first ask your playing partners.  If you still do not know you will be given a phone # to call for help.
* Each participant will keep accurate tally of their own strikes, as well as one other member in the group.
* It is your responsibility to keep accurate score of you and your partner.  Please don't simply ask your partner how many strikes they had.  This leads to an opportunity for dishonesty.  You should know their score and then ask them.  If there is a discrepancy, retrace each shot together.

What will be evaluated
The score on the score card is obviously the primary objective focus, but many other subjective factors will also be evaluated.  The coaches will also be considering such things as golf etiquette,  pace of play, understanding of general golf rules, honesty and integrity on the course, and sportsmanship.
