Chemistry Olympiad
Congratulations to the 2017-2018 AP Chemistry students for their performance in the Regional Chemistry Olympiad. Thirty-three CV students were among ninety-nine students from across central Pennsylvania that participated in the event sponsored by the American Chemical Society. Here are our top finishers.

- 3rd: Sean Patch
Josh and Chris will participate in the National Chemistry Olympiad at Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday, April 21st. From the nine-hundred students that will be involved with the national event, six students will be chosen to represent the United States at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Europe in July.

The 2016-17 regional Olympiad was held at CV and two other sites on March 17.
Ninety-seven students took the sixty multiple-choice question test. The
national Olympiad was held at Penn State Harrisburg on April 22. About
one-thousand students from across the country participate in the
national Olympiad that includes three sections, multiple choice, problem
solving, and lab. Josh Young, 12th grade, scored first in the regional chemistry Olympiad,
south-eastern PA, and participated in the national chemistry Olympiad. The attached photo is of Josh working on the lab. Results from the national
exam will not be available until summer.

Congratulations to the 2015-16 AP Chemistry II students for their performance in the 2016 Regional Chemistry Olympiad!
