Welcome to Meet Mrs. Walters!

Teaching is my second career. In my former life, I ran a state approved daycare for twenty years, so I could stay home with my two children. When they were out on their own, I went back to school to get my teaching degree. I graduated from Penn State Harrisburg in 1996 and received my ESL Specialist Certificate from Shippensburg University in 2005. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four grandchildren. When time permits, I also enjoy reading, playing the Wii, and working on crafts. For exercise, my husband and I enjoy taking long walks around our neighborhood and competing on the Wii Fit.

I enjoy working with children. The students add variety and excitement to the work day. Teaching is a challenging career that is always changing, and it is a career that I hope will help to shape the future of our children.
