The purpose of Drafting Technology is to give the students experiences in a variety of drafting areas that one may meet in the working world. Many of our students continue their education in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, and Computer Aided Design/Drafting.

The students will complete all drawings by hand using the instruments of drafting. Each student will have a personal storage drawer for their drawings and a set of instruments to use during the period.

The course path starts with sketching then continues to mechanical drawing, 3-view drawing, dimensioning, pictorial drawing, and finally a culminating engineering design problem at the end of the year.
