Fifth grade is a year filled with many challenges in both curriculum and social concepts. This is the year your child will be tested by the state of Pennsylvania in math,reading,and writing, however the preparation for the test starts in kindergarten and grows each year as your child's teachers align the curriculum to meet the state standards. 

  In order for your child to be the best they can be, it will take a lot of cooperation from a lot of people.  We can and will supply all the correct tools for success, however the children need to supply the effort.  Effort will and can improve achievement!

Please allow 20- 30 minutes each evening for home study time.  Find a place that is good for your child's learning needs.  It is good practice for the children to review each evening what they did in all classes for the day.  There is never a night with NO HOMEWORK.  Do not wait for a test date to be announced...just know that all information they learn will at some point be evlauated for retention.

Please look at your child's agenda book each evening and take an interest in what they did in school that day and what needs to be completed for assignments.
