This year we are using the new Pearson Reading Program.  In Science, we are using a program called FOSS.  The new units are Solids and Liquids, Air and Weather and New Plants.  The units are very hands on which the children thoroughly enjoy.  First grade swims every year in the spring.  For 8 days, the children go to the high school for swimming instruction.  

I send home a weekly newsletter.  In the letter is a section called, "Ask Me".  The questions in the section are review questions from skills that were taught during the week.  Please ask your child the questions and have them write the answers on the paper.  If you return the paper, I will check it and give your child a sticker.
