Welcome to Mrs. Schons home page.  I am the Emotional Support Teacher for grades 3-5 here at Silver Spring Elementary.  We are fortunate to have two paraprofessionals to assist the students in our classroom.  The majority of our day consists of teaching reading, writing, and math using the programs that are used in the regular education setting.  The programs include Month to Month Phonics, Words Their Way, Good Habits Good Readers,  6+1 Traits of Writing, and Math Expressions.  Some of our students will attend their homerooms for science, social studies and math. 

In our class  we will also be working on the students' individual goals both academic and behavioral.
