All About Me!
     I would like to take the time to introduce myself.  My degree in Elementary Education is from the Pennsylvania State University.  I attended Shippensburg University and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education and a Reading Specialist certificate. The 20111-2012 school year marks my twenty-fourth year teaching in the Cumberland Valley School District.  Beginning in 1998, I started looping between first and second grades.  This year will be my last cycle for looping. I will now continue my teaching career in the Second Grade classroom.  During my teaching career, I have served on several committees in the CV school district.  Outside the classroom, you will find me doing volunteer work. I am an exerciser, walking and taking aerobic classes at the Carlisle YMCA, especially Zumba!  At this time, hobbies include creating scrapbooks, outdoor activities such as biking, and kayaking. Once winter arrives, my favorite place to be is in a comfortable chair reading and I did go with a Kindle! My husband and I currently live in the Carlisle area.
