First Grade Follies

First graders are working on typing uppercase letters at the beginning of proper names using the Shift Key. They have also learned how to type a period at the end of a sentence.  We have begun saving our files to the network drive, which can be a real challenge for first graders.

Second Grade

Second grade has been working on a unit using PowerPoint with the theme of butterflies, to go along with the 2nd grade Science curriculum. They are also creating a slide for Veteran's Day, using an embeded Paint image that they create.  They are making some beautiful pictures.

  3rd Grade Topics

The third grade students have been working on editing in Microsoft Word.  They have learned how to add clip art and word art, as well as how to format them so that they can be moved on the page.  We will be doing a project on landforms next.

~4th Grade~

Our fourth grade students have explored formatting and editing in Microsoft Word.  They are beginning a project in PowerPoint on Countries around the World.  Internet Explorer will be the browser that is used for research as they look for information on a country.

5th Grade News

Fifth grade students have worked on editing and formating in Microsoft Word as preparation for a research project.  They are starting that project now, as we prepare our files for each section of the project.  Each child will research a country using the Internet.
