About Mr. Bricker

I graduated from Cumberland Valley High School in 1976.  Immediately after high school graduation, I entered the United States Air Force where I honorably served as a boom operator on a KC-135A mid-air refueler from 1976 through 1980.  Flying for the Air Force was an awesome experience.

From 1980 to 1983, I had various jobs.  I drove a truck for Coca-Cola, I tried to be a butcher, and I worked for the Federal Government at the New Cumberland Army Depot in the Transportation Department.

In the fall of 1983, I enrolled at Harrisburg Area Community College and studied full-time for two years.  After graduation, I transferred to Penn State Harrisburg in Middletown, Pennsylvania, where I earned a degree in elementary education in the winter of 1987.

I've completed 22 years of teaching elementary education for Cumberland Valley School District.  Most of that time has been spent teaching fifth grade at Sporting Hill Elementary.  I really enjoyed  teaching fifth graders.

This is the seventh year I'll be teaching third grade.  I really enjoy teaching third graders.  The students are at a great age to work with.  They love school and almost everything that's related to school.  That makes teaching a little easier and a lot more fun.
