A little history about Mrs. Lena...
I am a graduate of Central Dauphin High School and York College of PA.
In 1997, I began my teaching career at Good Hope. For 3 years I taught Social Studies, English, Science, and Math.
In 2000, I moved to Eagle View to teach 6th and 8th grade math.
From there, I decided to move to Boston, Massachusetts. I taught 7th grade math and 8th grade Algebra in a suburb of Boston for 4 years. While I was in Boston, the Patriots won the Super Bowl 3 times, and the Red Sox broke their 86 year curse. It was great! Everyone was so excited including me. I was excited for both teams even though I am really a Braves and Packers fan. However, it was great to live in a city with winning teams.
In 2004, I was married, and then in 2005, my husband and I decided to move back to Central PA. For one year, I taught at Mechanicsburg where I taught Algebra and Algebra 2. Then in 2006, I came back to Cumberland Valley to teach math.
I did leave the math department for two years so I could become a technology coach for Cumberland Valley. In this position, I helped teachers integrate technology into their classroom.
I am now back in the math department, and I am teaching a middle school math class as well as leading the department as Math Department Chair.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, which now includes two wonderful little girls.
