Geraldine Johnson, M.Ed.
Geraldine Johnson is a Positive Behavior Support Specialist for the Cumberland Valley School District. Mrs. Johnson received her Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from Mansfield State College, now Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, and her Master’s degree in Deaf Education from Western Maryland College, now McDaniel University of Maryland. Mrs. Johnson began her teaching career in Williamsport Pennsylvania, as a special education at the preschool level and then third grade in regular education. She relocated to Central Pennsylvania where she continued her teaching career in the Northern York School District in Dillsburg, where she taught special education at the elementary level for five years. Mrs. Johnson continued her career in the Carlisle Area School District for fifteen years where she held the following roles: learning support teacher, emotional support teacher, instructional support teacher, and instructional advisor. Mrs. Johnson created the "GEMTRAILS Behavior Management Program." In 2005, she became employed by the Capital Area Intermediate Unit, where she worked as a behavior consultant as part of the training and consultation team for two years.
Mrs. Johnson became a Positive Behavior Support Specialist for the Cumberland Valley School District in 2007. In her current role, Mrs. Johnson does behavior consultation for Eagle View Middle School and it’s feeder schools: Middlesex, Monroe, Silver Spring, Green Ridge, the upper house of the High School (grades 11 and 12), as well as the Emotional Support Program. Mrs. Johnson is also the external coach for the district’s School Wide Positive Behavior Support Program. As a certified "Olweus Bullying Prevention Program" Trainer, Mrs. Johnson also serves as the Bully Prevention Coordinator for the district.
