Information for New Student Registration
Welcome to Central Registration
Note: Children registering for Kindergarten for the 2009-2010 school year must turn 5 years old on or before September 30, 2009.
All in-coming students are registered at the Central Registration Office located in the
District Support Facility

The District Support Facility is the building directly behind the football stadium in the Cumberland Valley School District Educational Park. Visitor parking is designated at the front of the building.
You may stop by our office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to pick up an enrollment packet or call 717-506-3399 to have an enrollment packet mailed to you. After completing the forms in your packet, please call for a brief appointment to enroll your child. Please have all your documentation and forms completed prior to your appointment.
 | Legal parents or court appointed guardian living in the Cumberland Valley School District may enroll a student. The parent/guardian must come into our office in person to complete the enrollment process. (Note: Exceptions apply to homeless youth according to the McKinney-Vento Act, migrant and foster students.) A student living with someone other than a parent will be registered in accordance with guidelines set by PA Public School Code section 24 P.S. 13-1302. |
| Residents will be asked to sign an affidavit stating that you and the student live in this district on a full-time basis. |
WHAT TO BRING WHEN YOU REGISTER YOUR CHILD
In addition to the completed forms in the packet, you need to bring the following to your appointment in order to register your child.
| Proof of your child's age. Any one of the following constitutes acceptable documentation: original birth certificate, notarized copy of birth certificate, a valid passport, notarized/certified record showing the date of birth, notarized statement from a parent or relative indicating the date of birth, prior school record indicating the date of birth. |

| Immunizations required by law. Acceptable documentation includes: the child's immunization record, a written statement from a former school district or medical office, verbal assurances from the former school that the required immunizations have been completed with records to follow. (A list of required immunizations is in the registration packet). |

| Proof of Residency. Acceptable documentation includes: a deed, lease, sales agreement, notarized statement from landlord, mortage information, vehicle registration, driver's license, DOT identification card. |
| Photo Identification. (This is required in order to notarize documents at the registration appointment such as a sworn statement attesting if the student has been or is suspended or expelled for offenses involving drugs, alcohol, weapons, infliction of injury or violence on school property and a registration identification affidavit.) |
| Other documents that will be helpful for the success of your child: report cards/transcripts, all special education documents (IEP, ER, RR, NOREP), attendance records, any other records relevant to your child's education. |
