Middlesex Staff Welcomes You Back to an Exciting 2019-2020 School Year!

Hello families, 
I hope that you had time to relax and enjoy summer break. We are excited for another great year at Middlesex. Welcome to all of our returning families, as well as, our new families to Middlesex Elementary. Our theme for this year is "Growing Leaders". Last year we focused on the 7 Leadership Habits as we took "Small Steps to get to BIG DREAMS". This year we will be continuing to Grow Leaders within each classroom at Middlesex; preparing students to be productive citizens in the 21st Century. 

We invite you to attend our Back to School Night on August 22nd from 6:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. for 1st to 5th grade families. The schedule for the evening is as follows:
6:00-6:20- Staff Introductions and Principal Presentation
6:25-6:55- Families Visit Classroom #1
7:00-7:30- Families Visit Classroom #2 (as needed)
7:00-8:00- Informational Tables will be setup in the gym to assist families with questions- Skyward, Transportation, Food Service, Counseling Services, PTO, Pre-K, Health Services, E-news and Website information

Two items to highlight are:
1.) Per Board Policy 246, no homemade treats will be permitted in the classroom for birthdays or classroom parties. We are asking that if you don't send in non-food items (pencils, stickers, etc...), that you provide store bought items only, to share with students. All items that do not comply with Board Policy 246, will be sent home. 
2.) If your child has a special medical condition or concern, it is recommended that you share this information with their bus/van driver.

If you haven't done so already, please make sure that you go into Skyward and complete the necessary paperwork prior to your student starting with us on Monday. If you are still having concerns with accessing Skyward, contact the CV HelpDesk at [email protected] or (717) 506-3393.
