Welcome Back to School!

We hope all Monroe families had a fun and enjoyable summer! We are looking forward to seeing the students on the first day, Monday, August 19th! Here are just a few reminders:
School Supplies
The Cumberland Valley School District will provide all necessary elementary classroom and student supplies for this school year. We encourage students to bring a backpack each day and to bring earbuds/headphones for their personal use during designated classroom instruction time.

Meet and Greet
Monroe students – please join us on Thursday, August 15 from 1:30 – 2:30 pm for a brief and very informal meet and greet. Homeroom teachers will be in their classrooms during this hour. Students and parents are welcome to visit, see their classroom and meet their new teacher! This time has been scheduled for the purpose of allowing the students to become familiar with their teacher and classroom in a relaxed, “come and go” atmosphere. There will NOT be any formal presentations during this time. Parents, we ask that you please remember the teachers will be available on Back-to-School Night on August 22 to answer your questions.
Open House - Thursday, August 15
Kindergarten students and families please join us at 5:30 pm. Students (and their families) in grades 1-5 who are NEW to our school, please join us at 7:00 pm.
Back-to-School Night
Parents of students in grades 1-5 are invited to our annual Back-to-School Night on Thursday, August 22 at 6:00 pm. Due to space limitations, this event is for parents/guardians only.
Bus Route Information
Bus route information for the 2019-20 school year is now available online. Click here to view route information. Parents/guardians are asked to check the site several times between now and the first day of school as times may be altered due to daily enrollment changes.
