May Fair

Volunteers are urgently needed for May Fair!  If some of the empty spots are not filled up by the end of this week, we will be forced to cancel some activities.  We’ve never had to do that before and we don’t want to start now!  Please help by signing up here:  https://www.timetosignup.com/sphpto/sheet/1279289

Ticket pre-order forms were sent home last week.  If you want to pre-order your tickets, be sure to get the form and payment to school no later than May 7th.

Hershey Park Tickets

Hershey Park Tickets are here!!  If you ordered discounted tickets thru the PTO, they can be picked up in the office during normal school hours.  PLEASE NOTE - Tickets must be picked up by an adult.  We cannot send them home with students.

My Life With Gary

Exciting news!  On Thursday, Jeannette Magaro visited our PTO meeting to discuss her new book ‘My Life With Gary’ which she co-wrote with her son, Luciano. At the meeting, the PTO approved funds to purchase copies of this book for our classrooms at Sporting Hill.  This will go a long way in increasing awareness, educating peers, and opening the lines of communication between our friends who have Autism and friends who wonder what that even means.  This is a GREAT thing!  1 in 59 children are affected by Autism - a statistic that is growing each year.  Let’s make an effort to ensure that these buddies feel seen and understood, even on the hard days.
